Award Nominations Now Being AcceptedDec 19, 2016
The Burke County Chamber is now accepting nominations for the annual awards to be presented at the Chamber Annual Meeting in January. The awards include Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Outstanding Youth of the Year. If you would like to make a nominations, call the Chamber to receive a nomination form.
Chamber Annual Meeting planned for January 26thDec 19, 2016
The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 26, 2017. The event will be held at the Waynesboro-Burke Campus of Augusta Technical College. This year's keynote speaker will be Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Labor, Mark Butler. Drugs Don't WorkMar 23, 2016
The Burke County Chamber is excited to announce we are now official local coordinators for the statewide Drugs Don't Work program in Georgia. This is a great program where businesses can become drug free certified and earn a 7.5% discount on their workers compensation premium. Chamber to Host "Meet the Candidates" LuncheonMar 23, 2016
The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a "Meet the Candidates" Legislative Lunch on Wednesday, May 4th at 11:30am at the Wardlow Building. Candidates who are running for local and state offices will be there to introduce themselves and tell a little bit about why they are running for office and why they should get your vote. Reservations are $20 for chamber members and $40 for non-members.

Weather Looks Great for Chamber Golf TournamentOct 27, 2015
After a five week postponement due to inclement weather, it looks like the weather is now going to cooperate beautifully for the Chamber Annual Golf Tournament set to be held this Thursday, October 29th at the Waynesboro Country Club. Registration and box lunches will begin at 11:00am, followed with a shotgun start at 12:30 and a fish fry, awards and door prizes to be held at the conclusion of the tournament. 39 Vendors Set to Showcase at Chamber ExpoMay 15, 2015
There are currently 39 vendors registered for the Burke County Chamber of Commerce Annual Expo coming up this Tuesday, May 19 from 3pm - 5:30pm. We are so excited at the wide array of sectors we have represented from healthcare, insurance, retail, restaurant, banking, industry and community organizations. This will be a great opportunity for our businesses and organizations to promote what they offer while giving the community the chance to see what all is offered right here in our own backyard. The Expo will be held in Downtown Waynesboro at 621 Liberty Street, which is located right next to Captial City Bank. Attendees are encouraged to park in the back parking lot or even in the True Citizen parking lot, both which are on Shadrack Street.
Chamber to Host "Roundin up Business" ExpoApr 23, 2015
The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its First Annual Expo touting the theme, "Roundin' Up Business" on Tuesday, May 19th from 3 - 5:30pm. The Expo will be held in Downtown Waynesboro at 621 Liberty Street so that it will be centrally located and convenient for attendees. The Chamber is encouraging all of its members, whether it is a business, community organization, school or church to come out and promote their respective organization. We are looking forward to a great crowd and the opportunity to showcase all that Burke County has to offer. If you are interested in registering as a vendor, there is a nominal $35 fee for chamber members to help cover the cost of logistics and marketing for the event, and $95 for non-members. The Burke County Chamber of Commerce recently recieved the Burke County Camera Ready Designation at the Governors Tourism Conference held in Augusta, GA. This designation will allow Burke County to market its community to the movie industry in an effort to entice film companies to shoot movies here in out community. This can be very profitable and provide economic benefitso the community and its buinesses.

Over a dozen chamber member businesses recently attended a Plant Vogtle Vendor Information Meeting to learn more about how to do business with Plant Vogtle. Representatives from Southern Company, as well as its main contractor, CB & I presented information to help businesses learn how to get their foot in the door and do business with these companies. Come join us at the Ball Park on Thursday, June 20th for Burke County Night at the Augusta Green Jackets. Our great community will be highlighted along with some feature performances from some of our own. Prior to the game, our own Chris Steward with Major League Retrievers will be doing a dog retrieving demonstration. Jason White will perform the National Anthem and the EBA Baseball Team will do the honors of throwing out the first pitch. More local highlights and performances are in the works. $5 Tickets are available at the Chamber and Recreation Department to purchase up until June 18th.

You may view the video from our website link, as well as find it on many facebook pages. The purpose of the video is to use as a part of a marketing package to recruit newcomers to our community. The video was designed and produced by Green Peas Production in Waynesboro, Georgia.
